What MP3 is
MP3 is a widely supported lossy audio format. Converting to MP3 decodes the source audio and encodes it again, so it is not lossless.
Choosing a bit rate
- 128 kbps favors smaller files.
- 192 kbps is a balanced default.
- 256 or 320 kbps uses more space and cannot restore quality missing from the source.
GrabFlow output
Extract Audio processes the first audio track locally and creates an MP3. Files without audio, encrypted tracks and unsupported codecs cannot be converted.
